Our Story
With everything that going on in the world today; war, hunger, record unemployment, poverty, homelessness, among many other things that effect everyone, we want to form a company that will help causes large and small. We want to help support the ‘Grassroots’ efforts where individuals and companies can make a funding campaign (like here at IndieGoGo) to help their individual causes. We call it “Feel Good Fundraising”.
The Impact
What happens if we don’t meet our goal? Our ability to help others becomes greatly diminished. We believe that the quicker we can get up and running, the greater the impact we can make. We would be able to go from helping people at a snail’s pace to helping at a tornado’s pace.
What We Need & What You Get
We’re looking for $7,500 which will get us up and running. One way we’re going to help our causes is by offering Dream Something branded apparel (t-shirts, sweat shirts etc.) and various items such as cups, travel mugs, stickers, and so on. All of these items will have a “Feel Good Message” that will inspire and motivate you and your friends. A portion of the monthly sales from these items will go to a cause of our choosing that’s looking for funding on DreamSomething.com. The money we raise here will go to develop new graphics for the merchandise and to start increasing inventory levels of the most popular items. The largest portion of the proceeds will be to purchase software to run and develop the Dream Something site, execute the marketing plan, and bring our message to the masses.
So, what’s in it for you? Whether you donate $5 or $2500, have comfort in that you will have awesome Karma at the end of the day. As the saying goes, ‘Charity begins at home’ and that’s where we’ll start. Your donation will get you anywhere from Good Karma all the way to a phone call from the founder thanking you for your donation.
